DIY European City by Night (or make your own town). There have been so many votive-like tutorials, but this is one of my favorites. Using a battery operated tea light and a rolled up taped print of a castle, you can get an almost 3D look (other photos on site). Tutorial at fellow fellow here.
Amaaaaaaaaaaaazing.

How to Make Nut Milk: I didn’t realize it was this easy. I would love to make homemade almond milk this way instead of buying it at the store.

I made some fresh mango jam today! it’s currently cooling, I won’t be able to use it until tomorrow morning. The recipe is really simple:
3 mangos, 1 C water, 1 ½ C sugar, 1 Tbs vinegar, & pinch salt
- Peel and cut mangos into 1/2 inch pieces. Put in blender with water
- Bring to a boil on medium high. Then reduce heat to medium and boil slowly for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat to med-low and simmer for another 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened.
- Move pot from stove and set aside to cool. Transfer into jars.
- This recipe makes about 12 ounces. Of course you can increase the amount if you need to.
Then I pressure sealed them in boiling water, you can look how to pressure seal mason jars, it’s really easy but it depends on what you’re sealing, how much, and the altitude you live in. Click here to see the flickr set.
